Hamper Delivery to Penny’s Bay Quarantine Centre

Last year, a quarantine facility at Penny’s Bay, Chok Ko Wan, Lantau Island, came into operation to combat Covid-19 infections. The 3000+unit quarantine centre aims to provide facilities and food for those who have to undergo mandatory quarantine.

Although basic amenities such as basic furniture, basic personal necessities (such as tooth paste, tooth brush, towel, toilet paper, shampoo and body wash), and three meals per day with vegetarian meals as an option are provided, the quarantine centre didn’t provide laundry service, therefore people are advised to bring adequate clothes and personal belongings such as personal electronic devices with mobile data.

the experience of being quarantined is understandably very difficult. Lack of variety and entertainment can lead to extreme boredom and depression, and even though people are advised to prepare unlimited data on their phones and laptops, plenty of books and sources of leisure, one can only do so much in a room for 14 days.

How to Send a Hamper to Penny’s Bay Quarantine Centre

If you wish to send a gift hamper to the camp, you should provide the accurate information as follows:

• the recipient’s full name, contact number
• recipient’s room number
• delivery date and time

While delivering the goods to Penny Bay Quarantine Centre, the delivery person will require to fill in a form of recipient’s detail, as well as the item description. At the same time, all the items will be taken out during the delivery for review purpose.

All deliveries need to be approved by Penny’s Bay Quarantine Centre.

Make sure you have listed all the items that are to enter the camp as any undeclared items are not allowed to enter.

It is also important to note that some items are forbidden at the camp, including cigarettes, cigars, tobacco, sprinkled beverages, alcoholic beverages, gambling supplies, perishable items (such as frozen food, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, dairy products such as cheese, milk, yogurt, etc.) and drugs that are not prescribed by a doctor.
